Ringus: An Early-Mid TH9 Farming Hog-Cleansing Design
Overview
If you are new to TH9 and want to protect loot use the Farming Ringus.
When you have more than 20k Dark Elixir switch to the Farming Ringus (with Dark Elixir Protection).
Should you have effective Hidden Teslas the Trophy Ringus becomes an option.
Unless you understand ring bases do not move defences (however swapping is safe).
Watch the Building Ringus video to understand design motivations.
To see Ringus in action watch the Replays.
The Ringus Mission
The goal of a good ring base is to keep defence-led troops (Hogs/Giants/Balloons) to the outer layer whilst the core grinds the attack down from the center. The great thing I found with Ringus was the flexibility given whilst upgrading. I could move defences around and not diminish effective resource protection.

Variations & Reports
Om3gaSe7en made several modifications to help on a trophy push.
Nitram posted data on 26 defences from a push into Masters.
Important Note
Ringus aims to protect your resources first and foremost. I've personally used both Ringus forms between 1600 and 2600 quite comfortably. If you are purely pushing for trophies then protecting resources shouldn't be your concern at all. Once you get into Masters things get serious and you probably shouldn't be using Ringus. This great design from NJM8(Violent Sky) shows the stark difference between the two concepts. I can also strongly recommend this video from TheClashMachine(Crimson Sky), a fantastic insight into his TH9 pushing design.
Building Ringus
Many thoughts and motivations behind the design are covered in this video. Apologies, my microphone is obviously awful and I have a terrible cold at the moment too.
The Replays
Early replays use different forms of the base but the principles were essentially the same. Digit in brackets represents attack % result. Replays ordered on severity of attack.
